Carmen finds the apartment of her dreams: a 60-square-meter first-floor unit bordering the legendary Boqueria Market, featuring a very large terrace. However, the layout was compartmentalized, dated, and soulless; it required a complete rethink.
The challenge of this project was to create an open-plan space and restore the dual aspect—facing the market on one side and the Raval neighborhood on the other. The kitchen became the connecting hub: sitting there, Carmen can instantly engage with both worlds. Working with a tight budget, we succeeded in creating a home that is cheerful, vibrant, and comfortable.
